Powertrain

You get full-time six-wheel drive — not part-time like some trucks. Dividing driveline torque among all three axles maximizes axle life, traction, and tire wear. Transfer-case inter-axle differential splits torque to evenly transfer power to each axle in all conditions.
Fully automatic six-speed planetary transmission with lockup torque converter maximizes fuel and operator efficiency. All shifting is done through the FNR buttons on the new sealed-switch module.
Deere trucks offer impressive retarding capacity and best-in-class system refinement for smooth, controlled descents and less service-brake wear. The operator can choose retarder aggressiveness. Once set, operation is completely automatic.
Cab Comfort
Premium heated, air-suspension seat is optimally positioned behind the front axle in the center-mount cab to help smooth out the ride. With cab sound levels that are three dBa lower than their predecessors, these trucks are noticeably easier on the ears. Standard adjustable tilt and telescoping steering column and available electric adjustable and heated mirror option further enhance operator comfort and productivity.
In-cab comfort and convenience features include a CD player with high-output speakers.
Heavy-duty bi-level four-season climate-control system with automotive-style louvers keeps the glass clear and the cab comfortable. Standard sound suppression significantly reduces noise and operator fatigue.
